Our why

Roodewal is a community shaped by real struggle, and real strength. We believe every child here has a God-given calling worth investing in.

Inspired by the story of Nehemiah rebuilding Jerusalem, we walk alongside this community to restore hope, one relationship at a time. Our heartbeat is to reach out to the people of Roodewal (Worcester, South Africa) to share God’s love, to restore hope and to rebuild lives.

HOW WE HELP

Through our after-school clubs, we walk alongside Roodewal’s children and teens, ages 7 to 18, offering them safety, mentorship, and a future to hope for.

Our after-school clubs are currently a home for more than 100 children and teens.

Nehemiah Girls Club

an after-school program for girls from 7 to 18 years old.

Nehemiah BOYS Club

an after-school program for boys  from 7 to 18 years old

Our Story

What started as a small outreach in 2010 has grown into a daily presence in Roodewal, led today by Wilfried and Christine.

“When I look at these children, I just want to be like a father to them”
